As of mid-September, Martynas Gudonavičius, co-founder of Trafi, a global provider of mobility services, has joined Flanco, a leading proptech company in the Baltics and part of the Tesonet business accelerator ecosystem.

Having spent a decade developing Trafi and serving on the company’s board, Gudonavičius has recently focused on business consulting and investing in startups.

Tomas Okmanas, co-founder of Tesonet, expressed excitement over Gudonavičius’ involvement, describing it as a pivotal moment for the entire Flanco team.

“Martynas not only brings fresh energy, but also marks a turning point in Flanco’s growth story. The team already has advanced products that different markets need, and with Martynas’ experience, knowledge, and drive, we are confident that our ambitions and expectations will grow even further,” said Okmanas.

Martynas Gudonavičius acknowledged that Tesonet’s extensive experience in global expansion played a significant role in his decision to join Flanco. Still, he emphasized that there were multiple reasons for his quick involvement.

“Flanco has assembled a dynamic team, and I’ve been closely following the proptech industry for several years. This is a market with enormous potential. Traveling around the world and encountering various types of buildings, offices, homes, and facilities, it becomes clear that the need for tech-driven building management and a comprehensive office experience will only grow. Today, many buildings are still managed through a giant spreadsheet, and physical plastic cards are used for office access, making it hard to talk about efficiency or creating benefits and comfort for residents and employees,” said Gudonavičius.

Speaking on the realities of modern office work, Gudonavičius stressed that in today’s hybrid work environment, everyone wants information in real-time, from parking to meeting rooms or available desks. According to him, Flanco aims to become the go-to solution for a comprehensive office experience, whether for communication, work, or how employees arrive at the office.

The goal of Flanco’s proptech products is to help clients digitize their existing systems and leverage AI to revolutionize building and office management experiences.

“We see that the core of the future of work will be transforming the office into a collaborative space, where data is captured and shared in real-time, and from this wealth of data, we can provide valuable insights to managers, operators, and the entire real estate sector. It will be easier to track changing trends, and creators of shared work and living spaces will be able to ensure we work and live more efficiently and comfortably. With AI coming into play, office work will change even more, and that requires technological solutions,” Gudonavičius added.

Mindaugas Juška, CEO and founder of Flanco, noted that Martynas joins the company at a particularly opportune time.

“It’s no secret that our entire team has been focused on addressing building management issues in a product-first way. Martynas comes with a wealth of business development experience and a clear vision of how we can offer tangible benefits to business partners and clients by leveraging AI and data to grow rapidly and sustainably in global markets and stay at the forefront,” said Juška.

Flanco, formerly known as Pingin, was founded in 2018. Its brand is currently managed by the company Gigsis. In May 2023, the tech accelerator Tesonet announced its investment in Flanco, becoming a significant shareholder and strategic investor. Flanco currently operates in several regions, including Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Among its satisfied clients are well-known businesses and brands such as SBA, EIKA, TechZity, SHED, KAITA Group, VERDE, Cyber City, and Elektrum.
