Working together with the Visuotinė gynyba association, Tesonet is becoming the first business group in Lithuania to include support for employees in military service in compensation policy across the group. Tesonet companies Nord Security, Surfshark, Oxylabs, Mediatech, Cyber Care, Decodo, and nexos.ai will provide financial support to employees who voluntarily choose military service.
Eligible employees will receive up to €2,300 gross per month for up to nine months, depending on the length of their service, while their positions remain secure. The employer contribution will complement financial support provided by the state.
For anyone choosing voluntary military service, that means one less layer of uncertainty around a major personal commitment. Time away from work can naturally raise questions about income, career continuity, and returning to a professional role afterwards.
The initiative is designed to give employees more stability around those practical concerns, so they can focus on their service with greater peace of mind.
Strengthening Lithuania’s readiness
The Visuotinė gynyba initiative is built around a simple idea: people who choose to serve should not have to carry the financial impact alone. Employer support helps make that choice more realistic for working professionals.
For Tesonet, this fits a broader view of resilience. Strong systems are not built only at the institutional level — they work when businesses, communities, and individuals understand their role and are ready to act.
By signing the Charter of Lithuanian Organisations’ Commitments to Total Defence, Tesonet is turning that principle into concrete steps across the group, from supporting employees who choose military service to strengthening organisational preparedness.
